A picture came my way recently (thanks Lt. Kittell) whose relevance was not readily apparent. First glance shows a couple of cars going down Main Street USA with a motorcycle officer. Let’s give it a closer look. There are crowds of people on the sidewalk watching the car. There are two other cars off in the distance (the first might be a patrol car and is straddling the double yellow line). Of immediate interest are two large convertibles flanked by three motorcycle officers in the frame. The lead car has two men in the back seat who will we revisit later. The back bumper of the lead car has an odd extension and some kind of handle on the trunk. The second car in line has what looks like a large siren mounted on the front fender.
